Original Duncan Head Support

The prone headrests are based on the same basic design. The concave face surface, with the cut-­out portion for the eyes, nose and mouth, provides weight bearing surfaces to the forehead, maxillary area, chin and lateral borders of the face. It also provides an open space for the insertion of tubes or wire mechanisms.

The replaceable foam pad provides a soft, resilient interval between patient and cradle. A disposable, absorbent pre-­cut tissue is available to place over the face mask to provide a sanitary interspace and is recommended by many medical professionals. There are two basic configurations of the Duncan Headrest: the Original Duncan Headrest and the Improved Duncan Headrest.
